If you’re new to Gerberas, it’s good to know that not all plants are the same. Many found in shops today have been grown under artificial conditions, sometimes cloned or modified, and these often struggle in Perth’s hot summer weather from November to April.
The good news is that the plants available through the Society and our experienced growers are different. They’re sun-hardened, well-suited to Perth’s climate, and are the much-loved ‘classic’ Gerberas that have thrived in Western Australia for generations.

The principal objective of the WA Gerbera Society Inc. is to function as an educational, recreational, and social body committed to the advancement of horticulture, with particular emphasis on the cultivation, propagation, and enhancement of Gerberas.
